1. Acceptance

These terms govern use of this website and any inquiry, account or order with Helios Scientific. By using the website you agree to these terms and to the Research Use Policy, which forms part of them.

2. Research use only

All materials are supplied solely for laboratory research use and are not for human or veterinary use. Any use contrary to the Research Use Policy is prohibited and at the purchaser's sole risk and responsibility.

3. Product information and documentation

Specifications, technical records and analytical documentation are provided for research reference. The certificate of analysis issued for a lot is the controlling document for that lot. Demonstration records are illustrative only.

4. Orders, pricing and payment

• Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. Sales tax is charged based on the shipping destination.
• An order is accepted when we confirm payment. Payment instructions are shown at checkout and sent by email; orders not paid within 48 hours may be cancelled.
• We may limit quantities, and may refuse or cancel any order, including where we have concerns about the intended use. If a cancelled order was paid, it is refunded in full.
• If a price or product is listed in error, we may cancel affected orders and refund any payment.
• Bulk kit orders are submitted as requests and are confirmed by email before payment.
• Discount codes may be used once per order, cannot be combined with other codes, and may be limited to specific customers, changed or withdrawn at any time.

5. Warranty and limitation of liability

We warrant that each material conforms, at the time of shipment, to the specification stated on the certificate of analysis for its lot. Your sole remedy is replacement of the material, or a refund only where our Returns policy allows one (a package that never arrived, or a vial that arrived broken).

Except as stated above, materials are provided “as is” without any other warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and its total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid for that order.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Helios Scientific harmless from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use or handling of materials, any use contrary to the Research Use Policy, or your violation of these terms or of any applicable law.

7. Referral and affiliate program

Affiliates earn commission on paid orders from customers they refer, under the terms provided to them. Commission is not paid on orders that use a discount code, on an affiliate's own orders, or on cancelled or refunded orders. Helios may change or end the program, and may withhold commission for referrals that are fraudulent or that breach these terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Helios Scientific is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state.

9. Changes

Helios may update these terms. The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
