Information we collect
When you register, order or contact us, Helios collects the information you provide: researcher type, name, email address, phone number, institution or organization, shipping address, order details, and the content of any message or bulk order request. Lot numbers entered in Lot Verification are used to retrieve records.
The website uses a small number of cookies and browser storage: one keeps you signed in, one remembers your cart, and one records the referral link you arrived through, if any.
Standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver and secure the website.
How we use information
- To process, ship and support your orders, and to send order and shipping emails.
- To remind you about items left in your cart. Every reminder includes an unsubscribe link.
- To credit referrals to our affiliates. Affiliates see order numbers and amounts, never your name or contact details.
- To respond to inquiries and provide analytical documentation.
- To assess research-use eligibility for accounts and orders.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
Sharing
Helios does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers who process it on our behalf, or where required by law.
Retention and your rights
Account and order records are kept for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet tax and accounting requirements. Messages are kept for up to three years.
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information. Send your request through the Contact page and we will respond within 30 days. Some records may need to be kept where the law requires it.
